We found a friendly and helpful staff at Clacton-on-sea Colchester road. We found we had a clean and comfortable room, the TV worked well the internet was working. They cleaned the room when we needed the bin emptied and gave us clean cups when needed.

Went for some 'me' time for a few days. Was very quiet and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi was good, did have to pay for ultimate for watching films on my laptop. The room was clean, but tired, does need revamping. …

Room was nice and staff were lovely. The extractor fan in the bathroom was broken and I didn’t sleep for the three nights as it was so loud! I had exams, that was the reason for booking and I was exhausted! I asked for it to be fixed or to …

A basic hotel. Nice and friendly Reception staff. My room was on the first floor. Unfortunately, there are no lifts, so if you have a lot of bags, then you need to use the stairs My room was large and had everything I needed for my one night stay. Lovely and clean, with a huge confy bed. Probably was in a family room. There were complimentary hot drinks, shower gel and handwash. There is also a hair dryer too. The doors of these rooms are opened by an actual key. Breakfast was in the McDonald's across the road. There is also a place to eat next door, there menus are in the room. All in all not a bad little hotel.

Your average premier Inn, you know what you are going to get. Lady who checked is in on reception was doing an extended shift due to someone calling in sick, however she was still extremely friendly and welcoming. Had 2 rooms on the second floor (no lifts at this place) & both were clean & tidy & quiet for our 1 night stay. They were slightly dated though with one room having a heater that looked like somebody had put their foot through it at some point. Was ok though for our brief stay. Didn't eat at the restaurant opposite so can't comment on that, but there's a McDonald's right across the road as well as a petrol station. Only about a 10 minute drive to the town, the seafront & the local theatre which is why we were in the area. Cheap enough rates at this prem inn.

Stayed for the weekend whilst visiting friends. Reception was great with the receptionist being friendly as well as really helpful. Room was large with a functional bathroom and a good amount of storage space. The bed was large and very comfortable. Once the heating had been changed and increased the room quickly warmed up. All the staff we interacted with during the weekend were really friendly and helpful. The parking bays were a little tight and the entrance to the hotel at the roundabout by the petrol station is not as clearly visible as potentially it could be. Rooms: The room was a ground floor room. It was clean and tidy with complimentary rea coffee etc provided. The bed was large and really comfortable. The bathroom was functional with soap in a bottle provided. There was sufficient storage space available.

Hotel is older, however the staff more than make up for this. I regularly stay in hotels for work and the staff here are some of the best… friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble. Hotel is comfortable, although could do with some upgrading, however, staff and housekeeping make the place. Would recommend!!

Personally my favourite Premier Inn. I’ve stayed in many over the years, some with better facilities, some not, but this is one I continue to return to. I find the staff here to be incredibly friendly and proactive: Rachel and Susan come to mind. The rooms are always clean, neat and tidy. With the Bowling Green next door, Greggs across the way and McDonald's a stones throw from there, you aren’t short for choice at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Plenty of books to read located in reception, along with fully stocked tea and coffee items for use within the rooms. A vending machine is downstairs in the foyer which I find convenient should I not wish to leave the hotel premises. As mentioned earlier, it really is the staff I return because of otherwise the place would not be the same. Polite, friendly and always on hand.
